Tuesday evening Inforum 2008 kicks off in the Solutions Expo

Wednesday night headline entertainment: John Mellencamp to headline at Inforum 2008

Passionate, outspoken and restless, John Mellencamp has never been satisfied with what is. He has always been more than an image, his music always more than Top 40 hits or latter-day roots rock, his goal always more than the considerable commercial success he’s achieved... In his career and in life, he has always wanted more and he has always given more in return.

Bringing together rock, folk, country, blues and R&B, he has sold more than 40 million albums and received 11 Grammy nominations (winning one). An advocate for the American farmer, he co-founded Farm Aid in 1985 with Willie Nelson and Neil Young and was the recipient of the 2003 Woody Guthrie Award (for exemplifying the ideals of the legendary folksinger). In 2001, he received the Century Award, Billboard’s highest accolade, for distinguished creative achievement. On March 10, 2008, John Mellencamp was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and this July marks the release of his 22nd career album, Life, Death, Love and Freedom.

On Wednesday, October 15, Inforum 2008 is proud to present John Mellencamp who remains as passionate, outspoken and restless as ever.
